Jason Castro, Brooke White or Syesha Mercado: Who's Voted Off Next?

American idol has few mysteries left. The top five contestants have been revealed and it certainly seems as if all the pundits are right. It is all David vs. David for the idol title. So who goes next? Will it be Jason Castro, the man with the dreadlocks and the smooth voice and laid back demeanor? Or will we see out third lady in a row voted off with either Brooke White or Syesha Mercado being shown the door by American idol voters.

On this week's elimination, Carly Smithson was finally tossed off the show after several sub par performances. She certainly has talent, but with the last few weeks featuring the songs from Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey and Andrew Lloyd Webber she had little opportunity to show off her voice and her talents.

This week is Neil Diamond and at least that will give the singers a variety of songs to perform that might keep the audience interested and give them a chance to show off something. It is a very tough call to predict who leaves. Brooke White must have picked up most of the Kristy lee Cook voters once she was shown the door as it was stunning that she wasn't in the bottom two.

Jason Castro has a decent sized fan base, so unless he completely tanks next week I believe he will hang in there and make it through one more week.
