They famously met while she was a world famous pop star - and he a rising star in the Manchester United football team - and David Beckham is still wife Victoria's number one fan - but not everyone in the audience appeared to share his view.A couple of unimpressed concert-goers sat with their fingers jammed in their ears seemingly to block out the sound from the Spice Girl's comeback show as they performed in front of a sold-out crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
"It's exciting, because we have friends here, and our family is here, as well."It feels like home. It really feels like we're performing at home."
Melanie B moved to Los Angeles in 2003. But the other band members, Geri and Emma said even they have grown accustomed to the L.A. lifestyle."We've all been here, staying here for quite a while," said Baby Spice, Emma Bunton."We've all fallen in love with it, as well. You might have a few more Spice Girls moving here."The Spice Girls on Sunday kicked off their tour, the band's first since 1999, in Vancouver, British Columbia.Future stops include Las Vegas, New York and London as the tour continues into 2008.The band also confirmed reports that David Beckham purchased each member a diamond bracelet to celebrate the start of the tour."Oh, it was from a little store called Octopussy," said Melanie C, showing off her Beckham bling.And Victoria Beckham added: "My husband, when he married me, married all the Spice Girls, and he has to look after us all."
