The first picture: Nicole Kidman takes baby Sunday Rose out for a stroll around London

To the hundreds of others in the busy street, it probably looked like a novel way for someone to carry their shopping. But these exclusive pictures show Nicole Kidman out for the first time apparently carrying her baby daughter, Sunday Rose.

Ms Kidman took a stroll around Portobello Road in London’s Notting Hill yesterday, wearing a trendy baby sling. She cradled it protectively as she walked around, with other shoppers oblivious to the actress’s presence.

The Moulin Rouge star, whose film Malice is being given away on DVD with The Mail on Sunday today, browsed market stalls before going into a cafe with a friend, where she seemed to be holding Sunday Rose in her lap. Ms Kidman, 41, smiled down at her daughter several times, and appeared to be enjoying the first weeks of motherhood.

She gave birth to Sunday Rose, named after Australian art collector Sunday Reed, on July 7 in Nashville, Tennessee, where she lives with her husband Keith Urban. The Australian actress has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise – Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13 – and she and Urban reportedly plan to move to LA to be closer to them.

Ms Kidman has revealed that her baby has red-tinged hair, and has said: ‘She’s like a doll ... a little, little thing.’

Six months pregnant Nicole Kidman finally has a bump (and isn't she keen to show it off?)

For months her budding baby bump was apparent only to the eagle-eyed, but now as Nicole Kidman enters her final stage of pregnancy it's clearly on show - and she couldn't be more thrilled.

The actress, dressed in a flowing navy dress, clasped her hands beneath her stomach to proudly accentuate her bump during an appearance the United Nations headquarters in New York yesterday.

And it's little wonder she's filled with pride at her burgeoning tummy - after all, she miscarried twice during her marriage to Tom Cruise and spent years yearning for a child of her own.

Nicole recently revealed she's suffered "severe morning sickness," but despite her queasiness, she's "really good."

The 40-year-old was attending a press conference to promote the “Say No To Violence Against Women” campaign as part of her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.

Nicole, who is said to be six months pregnant, recently bought a $7 million home in Brentwood, California, with her husband Keith Urban, just a couple of miles from where her former husband lives with their two adopted children Connor, 13 and Isabella, 15.

Meanwhile her son is preparing to make his film debut in the upcoming Will Smith drama Seven Pounds.

The teen looks set to follow in his parent's footsteps, and has already landed a minor role as a young version of Smith.

Of course, Smith is a close friend Cruise Senior, however sources insist Connor had to audition for the part.

A source told People magazine: "Tom is so proud of Connor. He's proud of him for really doing this on his own."

Nicole Kidman takes control to make Keith a better dad

Anxious Nicole has spent £3.5 million on a new Los Angeles home

Pregnant Nicole Kidman is insisting on spending as much time with musician husband Keith Urban as possible, despite his busy tour.

The couple spent 7 days in Tahiti last week before Keith flew back to perform in Baltimore on Thursday.

'They've argued about Keith's country rock star lifestyle,' a friend tells Now.

Just 3 weeks after Nicole, 40, announced that she was expecting, Keith set off on the tour which now won't finish until September, by which time he'll be a dad.

'She just wants to be near Keith all the time,' says the pal. 'He's back in the States soon and she hates being alone.'

While Nicole was never going to win in a battle with Keith over his love of touring, she has succeeded in one area: where they live.

Nicole agreed to move to Keith's base in Nashville, Tennessee, when they married, but this week we hear they're forking out for a £3.5 million home in California.

'City girl Nicole would rather be in LA, which is the best place for an actress to be,' explains the insider.
Nicole Kidman's diet warning bells

Despite her miscarriage worries, Nicole has hardly put on any weight during the pregnancy and her bump is hardly showing, even though she's almost 6 months gone.

Dr Carol Cooper, author of Pregnancy Essentials, says it's at this stage that putting on weight is important.

'Nicole is quite thin and even without knowing her BMI, I can see she needs to put on weight for optimum health,' she tells Now. 'Taller women tend not to show as much and women also show less in their first pregnancy as their stomach muscles are still tight, but Nicole wears clingy clothes, so I'd expect to see more of a bump by now.'

Nicole Kidman: No more Scientology for my kids

Nicole Kidman's two children that she adopted with Tom Cruise, Isabella and Connor, are apparently balls deep in Scientology. Nicole, who's Catholic, has had enough and wants her kids pulled out of the church that L. Ron built. And by built I mean made up. Page Six reports:

At the New York premiere of Ian Halperin's film, "His Highness Hollywood," a Scientology insider told Halperin that Kidman "wants her kids out of the church." Halperin beat up on the faith in his book, "Hollywood Undercover," and said he wasn't surprised when, during the premiere, "the projector had been sabotaged."

Nicole Kidman would rather have the kids follow a more realistic religion like Catholicism. You know, the one where a dude in a pointy hat tells people want to do from a balcony in Italy. But at least with Catholicism they don't brainwash you to give up ridiculous amounts of cash. They just guilt you into it. Huge difference.*

Here it is! Nicole Kidman exposes her budding baby bump

For months it's been rather difficult to spot, but yesterday Nicole Kidman showed off her baby bump in all its glory.

The Hollywood actress, who is now five months pregnant with her first biological child, flashed her growing stomach during a workout with her personal trainer in LA yesterday.
The fitness sessions have become routine for 40-year-old expectant mother, who was again wearing her trademark work-out outfit.

Last weekend she spotted leaving Revolution Fitness in Los Angeles in a sweat after attending a spinning class at the centre.
She was again accompanied by her personal trainer and kept motivated by a soundtrack that included songs by Mary J. Blige, Bon Jovi, Culture Club and even a number by her husband Keith Urban.

The star, who suffered two miscarriages during her marriage to Tom Cruise, has is taking time away from the Hollywood spotlight to enjoy her pregnant status.

She dropped out of her leading role in the Second World War drama The Reader after discovering she was carrying a child and was later replaced by Kate Winslet.
Still, the UN Goodwill Ambassador she has made time for charity work, and has just lent her support to the Say No To Violence Against Women campaign.

Kidman, who has two adopted children Isabella, 15, and Connor, 12 with Cruise, said in a statement yesterday: "One in three women may suffer from abuse and violence in her lifetime. This is an appalling human rights violation."

Other celebrities who have signed on include Hilary Swank, Sir Bob Geldof, Catherine Deneuve and Christopher Lee.
